Check your weekday troubles at the door. Let loose and blow off steam with a packed calendar of LGBT Atlanta events set to decompress your mess and put the gay in your day this Friday through Sunday.

Friday, Aug. 2
Charlie Harding’s MISTER App Launch Party welcomes to Atlanta the latest international hookup app for man-on-man action. The local porn stud hosts you and friends including go-go guys and Atlanta’s favorite shirtless DJ Chris Griswold (top photo) @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Dinner & A Movie: “Beetlejuice” (second photo) kicks off Jungle’s Friday with Jaye Lishe and some great food and drink specials in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sit tight; it’s time for The Other Show with Edie Cheezburger and her cast of crazies, plus this week’s special guests Kryean Kally, Naomi Koochieku Munroe and Marcella Grrleen Redd, 9:30 p.m.

Food, Flicks & Fun is yet another Dine Out For Pride movie night for Atlanta Pride, this time in Cabbagetown @ Sweet Cheats, 6 p.m.

BanjeeGirl Friday gets your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party and all the ladies you can handle with the TraxxGirls promoters @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Fashionado Friday is the newest monthly niche event at the corner of Gay and Lesbian. Dress to impress with Fashionado, aka our pal Vincent Martinez. Look for champagne specials, giveaways and DJ beats. For its debut first Friday, watch a runway show by Atlanta “Project Runway” alum Rafael Cox, and see Alter Ego Pop Art (third photo) by gay Atlanta’s own Paul Wolski @ 10th & Piedmont, 10 p.m.

Celebrating Hope benefit concert. You remember these three gals and a gay as contestants in the first season of Sing For Your Life. Now Amber Renee, Indie Killed the Popstar, Adam Horne and Amy Dixon sing for their charity album and against cancer @ Smith’s Olde Bar, 8:30 p.m.

Got Leche? celebrates the weekend each and every Friday with Atlanta’s weekly gay Latin night, this week with Serena Cha Cha from “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” The fun also includes Panochas Drag Race @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.

The Fab Five brings down the house with its weekly drag revue of glamazons led by Angelica D’Paige @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.


Saturday, Aug. 3
Sisters for MISTER Yard Sale lays out a ton of cool stuff for a real blowout of great furniture, housewares, clothing and many more odds and ends to help the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (fourth photo) give back to the beloved gay men’s MISTER Center. Get there early for the best pickins @ First Existentialist, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

“A Fly in the Wall” combines music, dance, art and spoken word to engage and educate the audience on HIV issues @ Rush Center, 6:30 p.m.

Ten’s New Menu Sampling Party spreads the new spread for your tasting pleasure. One of the hottest places to hit gay Atlanta in recent memory has a whole new food lineup, and they’re sharing it to celebrate the restart of regular restaurant hours @ Ten, 7 p.m.

Beer, Balls & Boys gets you excited about the Atlanta Sharks softball team and their bid for the Gay Softball World Series. The team of gay jocks and their friends from the gay Hotlanta Softball League (fifth photo) will serve up all-you-can-drink beer and of course the hot male strippers on call @ Bliss, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Ruby’s Redd Light District continues the newest edition to the drag landscape with the foul-mouthed hostess, great food, cocktials and a diverse cast in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 9 p.m.

Decked Out Saturday gets Atlanta’s lesbian Saturday night started on the patio with drink specials, brings you inside for “Now That’s What I Call Drag” and blows your mind with a Wet T-shirt Contest @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m. – 3 a.m.

Atlanta’s Best Dance Party with DJ Cindel (sixth photo) brings on the percussive local debut of international turntable sensation and “King of Drums” @ Jungle, 10 p.m. Can’t get enough? Move your feet without moving your car to DJ Scott Anthony’s All-Nighter @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 6 a.m.

Gurlfrandz! Fairy Tales Show. How long has it been since you had a hot steaming bowl of off-center drag from Ella /saurus/ REX and her girls? Well, pardner, that’s too long. This month’s fairy tales theme will not be your average kid stories @ Mary’s, 10:30 p.m.

Early Country & Late Night Dance offers line dancing and two stepping after the sun goes down, then DJ Mike Pope picks up the pace until close @ Heretic, 8 p.m. and 12 midnight.

Extravaganza Show is the weekly fabulosity hosted by big, blonde and beautiful Shavonna B. Brooks and cast @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.


Sunday, Aug. 4
Kristen “Warrior Princess” Beck visits First MCC. Nee the former Navy Seal Chris Beck became Kristen after being deployed on military missions for over 20 years. She tells the story from her Book “Warrior Princess” @ First MCC Atlanta, 11 a.m.

The Armorettes do their weekly camp drag thing for charity in their ongoing mission to bring bawdy drag and donated tips to the HIV/AIDS fight in Atlanta @ Burkhart’s, 8 p.m.

Harness (bottom photo) lays down a “No Shirt, No Cover” dance party to shake up your Sunday. Strap up in leather because it’s that kind of a night, this week with DJ Martin Fry, in the new bckspce @ Jungle, 6 p.m. – midnight.

Flashback Showgirls is the drag show that takes you back, all the way back to a new decade each time. Lady Shabazz leads the cast @ 10th & Piedmont, 8 p.m.
