Whether it’s a weekend-long dance party, LGBT spectaculars that only come once a year, or Pride Month shows and parties, the Gay Agenda of Atlanta events kicks workweek worries to the curb.

Friday, June 20
Peach Party Kickoff with DJ Tony Moran (top photo). The weekend of circuit legends in multiple venues begins with the signature sounds of this beat master. Get in on three days of dance party and after-hours action from the jump @ Heretic, 10 p.m. DJ Twisted Dee takes over @ Xion, 3 a.m. Get weekend passes through Sunday and check out our interview with Moran.

Decatur Women’s Softball fields teams of Atlanta’s lesbians who pitch, catch and run the bases @ Kelley C. Cofer Park, Tucker, 6:30 p.m.

Atlanta Dream Pride Night invites you to the WNBA game to benefit Atlanta Pride and Human Rights Campaign @ Philips Arena, 7:30 p.m. Use promo code “Pride”

“Steel Magnolias” went from stage to big screen to small screen. It’s back where it began as the ladies, their banter and their drama hit Truvy’s Beauty Salon @ OnStage Atlanta, 8 p.m. Runs through June 28.

The Other Show & Then Some supersizes the most unique drag cabaret in town with its singularly creative cast and special guests who always blast your expectations. She’s so unusual, this week with two surprise newcomers giving you the business @ Jungle, 9:30 p.m.

Ladies Lounge gets your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, scores of MSR ladies and the TraxxGirls promoters @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Boys Room. Nobody does gay in the ATL quite like the hip East Atlanta queers @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

Otter Chaos is the party of fun and fur for the pursuit of the hirsute @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m. As luck would have it, also in store is the Original Plumbing: Hotlanta Issue Launch Party.

Leather & Glow with DJ Christopher Kind lights up the night @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 10 p.m.

Femme Fatale with Destiny Brooks and Justice Tyana Taylor puts the drag glamazons on display each week. Get your singles ready for premiere Atlanta queens @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Daring Divas lays it on thick. Lena Lust, Sawnna Brooks, Lateasha Shuntel, Chavon Scott and Niesha Dupree. The crowd goes wild @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Got Leche? weekly gay Latin night features stage shows, dancing and more @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.


Saturday, June 21
Atlanta Cotillion presents, “Cirque de Nuit en Rouge” (second photo). What was once a fancy-dress drag ball becomes so much more as Avant garde circus and creative black tie become the name of the game. DJ David Knapp, Prince Poppycock and dance crew Dragon House join hundreds to benefit AID Atlanta @ Delta Flight Museum, 7 p.m. Prince Poppycock gives us a preview.

Pride Run & Walk takes to the streets for an annual 5K race helmed by the gay Front Runners club. On your marks @ Piedmont Park, 8 a.m.

Evening For Equality is the annual gala dinner benefiting the state’s largest LGBT lobby and honoring outstanding community and political contributors. Din-din, drinkypoos and movers and shakers. What’s not to love @ Twelve Hotel, 7:30 p.m.

A Midsummer NightMARE. Atlanta Radical Faeries make a full day and night of it for the summer solstice. Heart circles, talent show, DJs and general running amok @Arts Exchange, 12 noon – 3 a.m. Get it and get it good.

“Set Sail” with Atlanta Freedom Bands. The local LGBT orchestra comes together over a diverse collection of songs of the sea @ First MCC, 8 p.m.

Early Country & Late Night Dance offers line dancing and two stepping after the sun goes down, then DJ Mike Pope picks up the pace until close @ Heretic, 8 p.m. and 12 midnight.

Peach Party with Joe Gauthreaux. One of the sexiest spin meisters on the circuit lays down the tracks to awaken your inner dance diva. Read our Joe G. interview. A performance by Phoenix to boot @ Jungle, 10 p.m. The party continues as DJ Issac Escalante takes over @ Xion, 3 a.m. View the full schedule through Sunday.

Board Shorts & Bikinis Party gets the lesbians hot and bothered during the weekly dance party @ My Sister's Room, 9 p.m.

Spaced! with DJ Sean Mac calls for your intergalactic dance moves with a sci-fi costume contest and dance party @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Synergy with Shawnna Brooks is the Saturday night show to rock your world @ Burkhart's, 11 p.m.

Sinful Saturday includes the Divas Cabaret and all kinds of other bar night fun for our suburban gays outside the perimeter @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 10 p.m.


Sunday, June 22
We Are Family! (bottom photo) invites every iteration of LGBT families to a day of outdoor field day-style games, arts and crafts and more. Children encouraged to attend this Stonewall Month event from Atlanta Pride @ Piedmont Park, 1 p.m.

Hotlanta Softball League continues its spring-summer season for all the gay pitchers and catchers @ Metro Atlanta Softball Complex, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Jewish GBTQ Men's Potluck Brunch in the Park is hosted by SOJOURN (Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender and Sexual Diversity). They provide bagels and mimosas, you bring the schmear and sides @ Piedmont Park Pavilion, 11 a.m.

Peach Party Tea Dance with DJ Kevin DuRard adds a free afternoon event for those weekend-long partiers who can’t stop shaking their asses @ BJ Roosters, 2:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. The party kicks back into full gear as DJ Paulo Peach Party Closer pumps the beats @ Opera, 7 p.m. – 12 midnight.

High Energy & Cell Block Sunday. Get to gettin' with DJ Bill Berdeaux, 3 p.m., then the Cell Block drag show with Lateasha Shuntel, Raquell Lord, Shawnna Brooks, Nicole Paige Brooks and Taejah Thomas @ Blake's, 8 p.m.

The Armorettes present the troupe’s weekly show on its continuing mission to bring campy bawdy drag and donated tips to the HIV/AIDS fight in Atlanta @ Burkhart’s, 8 p.m.
