Got big weekend plans? Now you do. Whether you’re up for a movie, a gala, a concert or a party, LGBT Atlanta events roll out a wide and varied lineup with a little something for every taste.

Friday, April 29

Pump (top photo). There’s no cover charge to kick off your weekend at this man-on-man dance party, this week with DJ Sean Mac @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Rio, I Love You. An anthology of love stories around the world, including a gay segment starring “True Blood” hottie Ryan Kwanten, opens @ Midtown Art Cinema, all week.

Thriving Children. Steve Hightower’s annual fundraising fashion and hair show hits the runway with gAy-list entertainment Chad Michaels to benefit Lost N Found Youth @ Fox Theatre Egyptian Ballroom, 6:30 p.m.

Better Way To Meet Mixer. Single gay guys gather for after-work drinks with the organizers of this non-hookup dating site @ Anchor Down, 6 p.m.

Road Trip: Tybee Rainbow Fest. Beach gays in Southeastern Georgia welcome all comers to their version of Pride @ Tybee Island, Ga., all weekend.

Boys Room. Come hang out with the cool kids @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

Cirque du Soleil: Kurios. The latest cirque show hits town with a steampunk “cabinet of curiosities” @ Atlantic Station, 8 p.m. Runs through May 8. It's a six-pack show of sex appeal.

The Other Show. A weekly drag cabaret with an eclectic cast tries to keep you guessing @ Jungle, 9:30 p.m

Deadly Vixens puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars, plus Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 9 p.m.

Femme Fatale with Manilla Luzon puts the drag glamazons on display each week. Get your singles ready for premiere Atlanta queens, this week with an RPDR finalist as special guest @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Friday Night Dance Party. Another weekly way to kick off your weekend just hit 10th Street. See what you can get into @ G’s, 10 p.m.

Ladies Lounge. Get your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the new Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Chaparral Night turns up the volume on its weekly gay Latin party with stage shows and dancing into the wee hours @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.


Saturday, April 30

HRC Atlanta Gala Dinner & Auction (middle photo). The annual gala for the national LGBT rights lobby sits down to dinner in fancy dress with actress Kate Beckinsale as the special guest @ Hyatt Regency Atlanta, 6 p.m. It's always a big deal.

Atlanta Bucks Season Closer. The final match of the local gay rugby season pits our hometown boys against the Charleston Blockade @ Boulevard Crossing Park, 2 p.m.

NFFLA Flag Football pits the gay teams of National Flag Football League of Atlanta in their weekly gay jock showdown @ Silverbacks Park, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. 

#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of tonight’s party @ Mary’s, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during regularly schedule shenanigans, 9 p.m.

Surrogates Comedy Show. Audience members tell the jokes, one of a dozen great comics pull the strings, and gay Atlanta’s own Ian Aber hosts @ Highland Ballroom, 8 p.m.

Country all night. Scoot your boots @ Heretic, 8 p.m.

DJ Cindel previews his One Magical Weekend set with an Atlanta teaser for the dancing queens @ Jungle, 10:30 p.m. Get there early for Fantasy Girls, 9:30 p.m. Get there even earlier for the D’Elegance Pageant benefiting Joining Hearts, 6 p.m.

Rosebud with Bob the Drag Queen. The current-season Top 4 favorite headlines this Legendary Children party for alternaqueers. Also you have to go. Because Butt Contest @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Kink Bar Night. Southeast Black and Blue wants you to show your kink at their quarterly event. Fundraising shooters and your fetish @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Synergy turns up the volume on Saturday night and blows your ever-loving mind with glamazons working for your dollars @ Burkhart's, 11 p.m.

Glitz & Glam with Charlie Brown. The self-titled Bitch of the South and her girls entertain with dinner and a show in the theater experience of Atlanta’s drag restaurant and bar. Make reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m. 

GlitterBomb werqs Saturday night with a drag show hosted by Edie Cheezburger, a cast of premiere queens and special guests @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

DJ Lydia Prim All Nighter. Don’t stop ‘til you get enough. Dance until you need sunglasses to leave @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.



Sunday, May 1

Beyonce (bottom photo). One, two, you know what to do. Three, four, get yourself through the door @ Phillips Arena, 8 p.m.

Drag Brunch presents the Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips (bottom photo), 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas, 6:30 p.m.

Hotlanta Softball League pits the teams of gay pitchers and catchers against each other @ Johnson Park, Conyers, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Don’t miss the Extra Innings Beer Bust @ Taverna Plaka, 3 p.m.

Cinco Pre-Party Sunday Funday wraps your weekend just the way you like it: with all your gays plus DJs Rob Reum and Robert Ansley, and this week with early Cinco specials on Uno de Mayo @ Ten Atlanta, 5 p.m. – midnight

Midtown Rouge. Get to gettin' with High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the Sunday drag show kicks its latest, most fabulous iteration @ Blake's, 8 p.m. Here's what to expect from the new show.

Armorettes. Atlanta’s camp drag crazies against HIV do their weekly good in the gayborhood @ Burkhart’s, 7:30 p.m.
