LGBT ATL turns on its heart lights. Whether you’re courting a sweetie, considering a few, or nursing your own broken hearts club this weekend, come sop up some Valentine’s Gay events.

Friday, Feb. 10

Furball with DJ Ben Baker (top photo). DJs Ben Baker and Sean Mac pump up the usual weekly party with this special-edition man-on-man dance party @ Heretic, 10 p.m. Check out our preview.

A Kid Like Jake. Ripped from currentevents, parents and a private school learn social and personal lessons over a gender-non-conforming child. Drama ensues @ Out Front Theatre, 8 p.m. Runs through Feb. 26.

Mary & Friends: Love is Love. Mary Strawberry hosts drag kings and burlesque queens doing VDay performances @ Red Light Café, 8 p.m.

The Other Show. Come to the unique weekly drag cabaret with an eclectic cast and special guests that always pack a surprise @ Jungle, 9:30 p.m

Global Warming Tiki Party. “It’s Always Sunny in February.” Hu? Come chill with the cool queers @ Mary’s, 10 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Fresh Face Friday puts the newest drag glamazons on display. Then get your singles ready for premiere queens in Femme Fatale @ Burkhart’s, 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Celestial Friday. Celeste Holmes hosts the show “where the stars come out” and puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars, plus Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Ladies Lounge. Get your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the new Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Resident DJs Scott and Mikey take you deep into the night with $5 Fridays @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.


Saturday, Feb. 11

Love on the Rocks (middle photo). Joining Hearts kicks off its fundraising year against HIV in Atlanta with this Valentine love fest for everyone, single to coupled @ Cantoni, 7 p.m. It’s a real crowd pleaser.

#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of tonight’s party @ Mary’s, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during the regularly scheduled shenanigans, 10 p.m.

Valentine Dance. Women’s Outdoor Network goes inside for a seasonal celebration @ Amsterdam, 7 p.m.

Black Hearts Ball: Single Ladies Showdown. Dax Exclamation Point and Brigitte Bidet host baby queens scrapping for prizes while you bump to the Valentine beats of DJ Anonima and AASHA @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

DJ Dani Toro. Sexy beats from an international stud @ Jungle, 10:30 p.m. Get there early for Fantasy Girls with ‘RuGirl’ Yara Sofia, 9 p.m.

Leather & Lace. Whatever your preferred textile, all are welcome to benefit Lost N Found Youth @ Atlanta Eagle, 8 p.m. Stick around for the blowout Stoplight Party, a DJ Neon the Glowgobear joint, 10 p.m.

Fever turns up the volume on Saturday night and blows your ever-loving mind with glamazons working for your dollars @ Burkhart's, 11 p.m. 

Glitz & Glam with Charlie Brown. The self-titled Bitch of the South and her girls entertain with dinner and a show in the theater experience of Atlanta’s drag restaurant and bar. Make reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m. 

GlitterBomb werqs Saturday night with a drag show hosted by Edie Cheezburger, a cast of premiere queens and special guests @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

DJ Twisted Dee Martello's All Nighter. Bars close, but this place doesn’t. You never stop shaking your ass @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.


Sunday, Feb. 12

Miss Georgia 50 State Pageant. Reigning queen Celeste Holmes (bottom photo) and emcee Edie Cheezburger host as queens compete for the title in multiple categories with previous titleholders like Danielle Delong and Victoria St. James @ Jungle, 7 p.m.

Bitter Ball. Bitter hearts and broken hearts are a prefect fit for this Valentine's tradition @ Ten, 4 p.m. (Sweethearts are welcome too.)

Michelle Malone. The local lesbian legend licks-up a guitar with Tom Gray of Delta Moon and Eliot Bronson @ City Winery, 7 p.m.

Sunday Funday wraps your weekend just the way you like it: with all your gays plus DJs Rob Reum and Robert Ansley @ Ten Atlanta, 5 p.m. – midnight.

Drag Brunch presents the Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips, 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas, 6:30 p.m.

Midtown Rouge. First it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast including Raquell Lorde @ Blake's, 8 p.m.

Armorettes Valentine Show. Atlanta’s camp drag crazies against HIV do their weekly good in the gayborhood @ Burkhart’s, 7:30 p.m.

Tossed Salad. The magic and madness masterminded by Brigitte Bidet and her left-of-center queens @ Burkhart’s, 10:30 p.m.
