Friday, Oct. 10

Atlanta Pride. It’s that time, kids! Slap on your face and pull on something cute, because the LGBT Pride train is on the move. The Official Kickoff Party (top photo) is sold out to 5,000 of your closest friends @ Georgia Aquarium, 7 p.m. But that’s just he beginning of official events.

Atlanta Pride Kickoff Afterparty DJ Chris Cox. The better half of the Thunderpuss duo hits the disc decks to move your ass to Pride beats into the wee hours @ Jungle, 9 p.m.

Atlanta Pride Women’s Kickoff Afterparty with Lea DeLaria. The gay comic and “Orange is the New Black’s” “Big Boo” plays host to the biggest lesbian Pride party in town, and it lasts all weekend. Four DJs, dancers, and extra space inside, outside, all over your face @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m. And that’s all before she takes the Pride stage on Sunday.

Heaven Women’s Pride Party. Get out your angels wings for the sexy annual lesbian party welcoming Pride. DJs, Go-go girls, aerial performances, Sexiest Angel costume and more women than you can handle @ Park Tavern, 9 p.m.

Pride Friday with DJ Dani Toro. This visiting hunk of a spinmaster rocks out with your… You will have fun at this man-on-man dance party including an opening set with DJ Mike Pope @ Heretic, 9 p.m.

Pride Friday with DJ Daryl Cox kicks it on the corner of gay and gayer to get your Pride started right @ Ten Atlanta, all night.

Fruit Salad is the left-of-center Pride you richly deserve, so bend over and take it with DJ Vicki Powell @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

Post Aquarium Leather-Levis Party with DJ Nat @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

“Simply Barbra.” A night with Barbra Streisand that you'll never forget, only she's played by actor-singer Steve Brinberg in this one-man show that nails her look and voice @ Actor's Express, 8 p.m. Saturday show as well.

“The Doctor, The Devil and My Dad” opens this fantastical story about a woman’s visions of her Muslim father juxtaposed with a convincingly Tenant-esque Doctor Who and Satan himself. Gay Atlanta’s own Topher Payne is part of the cast @ 7 Stages, 8 p.m. Runs through Oct. 26. 

Cirque du Soleil: Amaluna continues @ Fox Theatre, 7:30 p.m. Runs through Nov. 16

“Lasso of Truth” is exactly what you hope it is. Wonder Woman’s origin story goes live on stage @ Synchronicity Theatre, 8 p.m. Runs Thursdays through Sundays until Oct. 19.

DJ Christopher Kind kicks off Pride on the patio @ Henry’s, 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Femme Fatale Pride puts the drag glamazons on display with a Pride-themed twist. Get your singles ready for premiere Atlanta queens @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Leslie Jordan takes the stage, followed by a meet-greet-booksigning, 9 p.m. Stick around, Pride people! Daring Pride Divas lays it on thick. Lena Lust, Shawnna Brooks, Lateasha Shuntel, Chavon Scott and Niesha Dupree. The crowd goes wild @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Men’s Night lets you in on the show and specials that get all the OTP gays rockin @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 9 p.m.

Latino Pride Fiesta with Jessica Wild. The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” favorite hits Atlanta to do up Pride with an accent @ Club Rush, 9 p.m.

DJ Corey David All Nighter moves your booty well past the witching hour. Go and go until sunup just steps away from Heretic, BJs and Jungle @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.


Saturday, Oct. 11

Atlanta Pride hits Piedmont Park (middle photo) with all the community booths, vendors and hot shirtless jocks you may require. Work it out with performances on the main stage including Meaghan Trainor, 6:50 p.m. and Amber, 7:25 p.m. and Colbie Caillat, 8:25 p.m. Keep an eye out for the Trans and Dyke Marches, 1:45 p.m. and 6 p.m., YoGaga Hour, the Car & Motorcycle Show, Deconstructing Binaries Exhibit, Youth Liberation Space, Legendary Children Photo Booth & Drag Exchange, and Kids Programming, plus the annual W Midtown Mass Commitment Ceremony. Here's a map.

Fort Troff Party with DJ Phil B. The sex toy company sets the mood with giveaways and this San Fransisco treat of a DJ @ Heretic, 9 p.m. Avoid the line. Buy limited advance tickets.

Jox Sox Cox with Chi Chi LaRue. Pride goes sporty with this jock-themed dance party with the strippers you love, all helmed by the goddess of gay porn doing giveaways and playing DJ @ BJ Roosters, 9 p.m. Read our Chi Chi interview.

Atlanta Pride Women’s Crush Party with DJ Ruby Rose is the official place to be for women this year. The inside-outside block-party theme continues continues with live performances by the Cheaters and the Maria Gabriella Band, 8 p.m., plus four DJs, go-go girls, extra bars, drag king shows and tons more @ My Sister’s Room, 8 p.m. Now with Whitney Mixter and Sara Bettencourt too.

Pride Saturday Night with DJ Manny Lehman. Get into the groove at what will be one of the biggest parties of Pride Weekend. The shirtless ocean of bodies will be augmented by the legendary beats and special performances @ Jungle. 9 p.m.

Pride in Leather with giveaways and prizes all night @ Atlanta Eagle, 9 p.m.

Girl Pride. This lesbian fandango provides a Saturday something for women who love women who love to dance their Pride asses off @ Amsterdam, 9 p.m.

DJ Mike Pope rocks your Pride just steps from the park, plus another guest DJ upstairs @ Blake’s, 9 p.m. Hang tight. The one and only Frenchie Davis takes the stage followed by a meet-and-greet, 11 p.m.

Marietta Pride. Rather than a one-day superfest, this year’s North Georgia Rainbow Coalition celebration is a two-month fandango of Saturday nights, this week celebrating its calendar collision with Atlanta Pride @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 9:30 p.m. They need you. Because homophobia.

Pride Saturday with DJ Rob Reum gives you all-day breals from the park, then DJ Neon the Glowbear lights you up into the night @ Ten Atlanta, 12 noon and 6 p.m.

Synergy turns up the volume on Saturday night and blows your ever-loving mind with glamazons working for your dollars @ Burkhart's, 11 p.m.

Gear Night. The private sex club on Cheshire goes Pride with a theme calling for your pup, spandex, leather, rubber, sports, army or other gear @ Manifest 4U, 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.

Pride All-Nighter with DJ Paulo moves you all the way to sunrise, just steps away from BJs, Heretic and Jungle. Never stop shaking your ass @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.


Sunday, Oct. 12

Atlanta Pride continues in Piedmont Park with all the community booths, vendors and hot shirtless jocks you may require. The HRC Atlanta Pride Brunch @ Empire State South, 11:30 a.m., offers prime viewing of the spectacular annual Atlanta Pride Parade (bottom photo) down Peachtree and 10th Streets from Civic Center to the park, 1 p.m. It includes 17 grand marshals. After that, work yourself up with park performances like honorary Grand Marshal Lea Delaria, 6:55 p.m., and the annual Starlight Cabaret, 7:25 p.m.

Official Atlanta Pride Closing Party with Rosabel. Walk from the park to catch the duo magic of DJs Ralphi Rosario and Abel. Rosabel brings your Pride in for a landing after Martn Fry’s opening set @ Opera, 9 p.m.

Pride Parade Cookout and Pride Blackout Party @ Atlanta Eagle, 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Pride Sunday with DJ Ed Bailey. The DC and Madonna-Rama legend takes the helm as the real meaning of “on the park” become clear before, during and after the parade @ Blake's, all day. Speaking of all day, Pop Up Drag kicks your ass into the night with Raquel Lod, Lateasha Shuntel and Taejah Thomas, 10 p.m.

Pride Sunday Funday with DJ Chi Chi LaRue takes you from parade to all-night party with respites from the park in between @ Ten, all day. Read our Chi Chi interview.

Unlimited Pride Brunch with omlete bar, Latin-infused favorites, and a bottomless liquid diet special of Mimosas, Sangrias, Bloody Marias and Mojitos. Two DJs pumping and benefiting AID Atlanta @ Las Margaritas, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Sunday Service with DJs Vicki Powell & Stanly Frank. The alternaqueers know what’s up Pride weekend, and they won’t stop until you’ve done this patio party in the singularly unique environs @ Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room & Ping Pong Emporium, 6 p.m.

Pride Bear Invasion puts a rainbow spin on this popular hairy, bear-y party that includes DJ Sean Mac on the tables and a big gay contingent of Atlanta Bucks Rugby players @ Heretic, 9 p.m.

Pride All-Nighter with Alain Jackinsky. You just thought you were done. Pride continues just steps away from BJs, Heretic and Jungle. Never stop shaking your Pride thang @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.
