Baton Bob’s snappiest courtroom retorts [video]

Drag street performer Baton Bob went to TV court on Monday, up against a graphic designer who says Atlanta’s gay Ambassador of Mirth wronged him. She won the case but he won the day with the snappiest retorts, looks and quips. Werq!

The petty dispute aired on “Judge Joe Brown” on Monday afternoon, detailing how former friend Leigh Clemmons says “the angriest man she ever met” short-changed her on an invoice for some business cards and an event invitation. Bob Jameson, the very buttoned down and in a business suit version of Baton Bob, countered that Clemmons made an error on the card and took liberties with the printing.

There was little mirth as Brown sided mostly with Clemmons, directing Jameson to pay $344 of the $661 Clemmons argued she was owed. But Bob delivered when it came to snap-inducing quips during the segment.

He may dish out “grammatically and logically inaccurate” emails laced with profanity, as Clemmons alleges – honey, we know he’s partial to some strong language – but when it came to the retorts we expect from Midtown’s beloved baton twirling, whistle-blowing character, Baton Bob delivered.
