When they weren't patrolling the park, or busting a Pride volunteer, a large contingent of gay Atlanta police officers walked in Sunday's parade and showed off their first-ever float.
LGBT cops have walked hand-in-hand in the parade in the past, but it's sometimes a touchy subject. Not this year, as rank and file officers mixed with investigators and top commanders in a group that numbered about 30. And they kept their uniforms on, unlike those sexy firefighters.
But at least one of those cops can sing.
