Atlanta’s federal pen not the place for gay sex

Cellblock sex fantasies make for good gay porn. They don’t make for such good times for Lewis Jackson, a 30-year-old physician at the federal pen in southeast Atlanta who’s accused of turning medical exams into oral sexcapades.

The U.S. Penitentiary isn’t the set for College Boy Physicals (NSFW), so federal prosecutors tend to frown on that sort of stuff. Jackson, 30, was indicted on Aug. 28 on charges that he sexually abused inmates in his care and arraigned Thursday before a federal magistrate.

“The charges unsealed today allege that while a physician with the Bureau of Prisons, Dr. Jackson sexually abused inmates under his care and custody,” U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates says in a prepared statement. “His actions betrayed the trust placed in him to provide appropriate medical care to federal prisoners during their incarceration.”

Yeah, yeah. Now let’s get to the details of the accusations against Jackson spelled out in the indictment:

• In October 2011, Jackson tried to perform oral sex on three inmates during their medical exams.

• In one of those cases, Jackson also tried to engage in anal sex with the inmate.

• He’s charged with three counts of sexually abusing a ward and one count of lying to federal agents. Those first three charges carry a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a fine up to $250,000, which is probably way more than a prison doctor gets paid.

Turns out that Jackson’s stint in Atlanta, from January 2011 to July 2012, isn’t his first alleged attempts to turn his prison office into a gay sex playground. Last week, he was charged in Washington, D.C., with performing a series of sex acts on an inmate seeking medical treatment. He was on bond in that case when he was busted in Atlanta.

Prison docs aren’t the only ones in metro Atlanta trying to get some booty in the big house.
