Gay fans of “Rupaul’s Drag Race” are so rabidly loyal that even before it begins, they’re latching onto each piece of information and voting on every queen’s move. Heads up: Atlanta’s Violet Chachki is winning.
With a signature waist snatched so tight she needs oxygen, the darling of gay Atlanta nightlife with the burlesque bod and pinup face made an impression when the show leaked its First Look. Long before we caught wind that she’d be on the show and be the latest to represent Atlanta queens, the brazen Chachki stole Sharon Needles’ crown. Allegedly.
But that’s all water under the bridge. Just a week before the March 2 premiere of the actual show, fans put Chachki in their favorite looks on last week’s “Drag Race” L.A. Premiere Party red carpet. Some 5,000 Dragaholic fans loved her purple and lavender look.
“Violet’s waist is probably cinched tighter than the purple curls on top of her head!”
Also-rans on the Dragaholic Best Dressed list include Trixie Mattel, Miss Fame, Pearl, and Max Malanaphy. All we can tell them is look out, bitches. You have way more to watch for than that Pit Crew ginger.
"Rupaul's Drag Race" season 7 premieres March 2 at 9 p.m. Join the Chachki frenzy on Instagram and Twitter.
