imageThe newest entrant to gay nightlife and networking premiered on Tuesday.

Social Tuesdays, the creation of Chris Coleman and Kurt Edwins, premiered at Geisha House in Atlantic Station last night. The event filled the second floor bar at the upscale locale with a well-coiffed group of mostly gay men for drinks, conversation and networking. It was a little business, a little pleasure and certainly fun.

Next week, the event moves to Tongue & Groove in the Lindbergh City Center on Piedmont Road.

Coleman and Edwins and their creation were recently profiled in Southern Voice.

“I have noticed there has been a tremendous amount of people looking for something different,” Coleman says. “I’m just adding something to the scene that I think guys are really hungry for.”

Coleman and business partner Kurt Edwins unveil their latest venture, Social Tuesdays, with a dinner and mixer at Geisha House in Atlantic Station on Sept. 30. Each week, Social Tuesdays is set to gather at an upscale Atlanta venue for what Coleman calls a “hybrid of all the things that professionals are looking for.”

“It’s a cocktail event, it’s a happy hour event, it’s a social event, it’s a dinner event, it’s a networking event,” Coleman says. “It’s really all of those things rolled into one.”
