From stacked and powdered period pieces to neon dollar-store finds, the wigs came out to the Eagle on Saturday for Wig Out 3, the party that helps build momentum and cash toward gay Atlanta’s MondoHomo festival next month.

The third annual fun-raiser saw natty head-toppers with street clothes, queerly crafted head-to-toe ensembles, as well as spoil sports with no wig to call their own. All of them were welcome for Jell-O shots, carnival games, barbecue and general gaiety. Emcee Koochie Koochie Ku headlined stage performances, and DJ Vicki Powell threw down the beats.

Check out our photo gallery below of the hair-raising experience, but don’t flip your wig if you missed it. Wig Out was just a taste of the May 26-29 main event. The Memorial Weekend MondoHomo festival combines arts, entertainment, social justice and hipster fun in four days of queerliciously fabulous programming at multiple venues.
