As much as the deck, dining and drinks are entrenched as staples in gay Atlanta, it’s hard to believe it’s only been a year since Henry’s claimed a piece of gay 10th Street for its very own.
With its “Come. Sit. Stay.” motto and a dog-friendly patio policy in tow, the gay-owned bar celebrated its first anniversary just like it celebrated last year's launch – with a Big Deck Party to benefit Angels Among Us Pet Rescue to coincide with National Dog Day.
A suggested donation got folks and some of their four-legged friends into the party with a drink ticket. Owner Maureen Kalmanson (also of swanky Campagnolo’s) held court, and DJ Christopher Kind put the whole soiree to a beat.
