Be still, gay hearts. Your queen is coming. Well, the queen of some of you queens is coming. That is, Madonna has set a date to give you her “Rebel Heart” in Atlanta, and the excitement is palpable.
The tour announcement comes as the latest in a long line of promos on excruciatingly slow leak since the album’s six-track Snapchat release back in December. With less than a week to go until the full “Rebel Heart” album release on March 9 and its “Living For Love” single already riding the top spot on Billboard’s Dance chart, her Madge-esty lets loose the tour dates on the heels of an amazing Grammys performance and a less amazing Brit Awards stage tumble.
Cue gay Madonna Mania. The 35-city “Rebel Heart” tour kicks off on Aug. 29 in Miami, and Atlanta gets a still-fresh Material Girl in the second slot on Sept. 2 at Philips Arena, according to the announcement.
The Queen of Pop will reign again - Madonna is about to release her best album in 17 years and one of the greatest of her career They won't experience the celebrity of Madonna the fashion statement but the Madonna who has kept us listening for decades: Madonna the musician.
Lifetime Legacy fans got early access to tour tickets on Tuesday, fan club members will get pre-sale and VIP options in the coming days, and mass-audience sales go online March 16 at 10 a.m. Now the only person in gay Atlanta who could fuck it up is Madonna herself.
