There’s always something happening at Mary’s, the laid-back pad that put East Atlanta on the gay bar map. Events like Big Primpin, Boys Room and Mary-oke are capped off each week with a Hot Mess!
Not to mention special events and themes that interrupt the nightly schedule whenever they damn well feel like it. The Hot Mess! dance parties feature a different guest DJ every Saturday night. Last weekend, DJ Sam Rothstein served up a special Take This Job and Shove It Edition with a funk-garage-hiphop-dub playlist.
Last Saturday also marked the last night as a Mary’s bartender for David Watkins (top photo, left) – and provided a perfect excuse for another Hot Mess! of a night. This Saturday, DJ Rothstein takes the helm again, with $2 draft beers and $4 well cocktails before 10 p.m. We caught these Q Shots in that cheap-drink zone.
