The Big Gay Supper Club got up a little early on Saturday and tried its hand at brunch.

TBGSC re-emerged May 5 at Spice Market after a year or so away from their popular monthly dinners. The group started in September 2002 and regularly drew up to 200 gay men and women to its evenings of four-course meals. Co-founder Rande Head (photo right) has teamed up with David Diehl (photo left) and Michael Chavez for its latest efforts.

Our mission was originally to bring Atlanta’s GLBT community a new outlet of socializing outside clubs and bars. However we have since grown and evolved, including not only the GLBT community but also friends and supporters. Today, our guests may come to try out new restaurants or revisit an old favorite. Others use The Big Gay Supper Club to meet new people or connect with old friends and loved ones which they may not have seen amidst life’s hectic scheduling.  Some come to utilize the varying and dynamic attendance as an invaluable networking tool.

Next up for the group: Its monthly dinner June 9 at Ecco.
