LGBTQ Atlanta went old school on Saturday for the annual Atlanta Field Day fundraiser for HIV vaccine research.
It was an afternoon of three-legged races, tug-of-war and more schoolyard games at Emory’s Clairmont campus.
Action Cycling Atlanta hosted the annual event, which raised more than $20,000 this year, according to organizers. The money benefits Action Cycling Atlanta and Hearts Everywhere Reaching Out for Children. Action Cycling Atlanta raises funds for the Emory Vaccine Center and HIV/AIDS non-profits, and HERO helps children affected by HIV.
Action Cycling Atlanta has raised more than $2.8 million for HIV vaccine research through Atlanta Field Day and its annual AIDS Vaccine 200 long-distance bike race.
