Gay rugby and college jocks can make for a fun afternoon. The Atlanta Bucks recently took on a squad from Georgia State. While the match didn’t quite go the Bucks way—they lost—it helped their ongoing preparation for this summer’s Bingham Cup.
The teams scrummed their way through the match at Walden Middle School on March 17. But now, the Bucks are turning their attention to launching a new monthly fundraiser at the Heretic on April 6 and their infamous Purple Dress Run on April 21. (View photos from last year.)
The First Friday Bucks Party at the Heretic helps raise funds for the squad to participate in the Bingham Cup. The gay rugby world championship in early June takes place in England.
