Hundreds of LGBT baseball fans enjoyed a night at the brand new SunTrust Park and raised funds for Lost N Found Youth as the Atlanta Braves hosted its annual LGBT Night.
The special event on Friday – the first in SunTrust and the seventh annual for the Braves – included a pre-game patio party, a Braves hat and a game against the Milwaukee Brewers. (The Braves won 5-4.)
The evening also included an appearance by Art Smith, the gay celebrity chef behind Southern Art and Bourbon Bar in Atlanta and restaurants in Washington, D.C., Chicago, California and Naples, Fla.
Smith, who loves to throw a gay wedding, was named an honorary team captain. And he totally enjoyed the honor.
A crowd of more than 500 people attended the Braves LGBT Night in 2016.
