Gay Atlanta stages #Pensacola2014 Instagram takeover

If you’re gay and on Instagram in Atlanta, you were inundated all Memorial Weekend with images of sexy beach bodies, fun in the sun, night moves and general friend-making merriment. Our exploration is the next best thing to being there.

Atlanta's #Instagay nation started noticing road-trip pics on Friday that promised a not-so hostile takeover of Pensacola by our local friends and our brethren from across the region. By Saturday, those of us who didn't go were regularly searching the hashtags #pensacola, #pensacola2014, #pensacolapride and #pcola2014 for eye candy.

All the way through Monday, those occasional scans became habits that gave us all we could handle of the gay goings on. Here are some of our favorite moments of the gays and the friends they met down south.

Some things are just more fun in groups.

Like a chorus line, only gayer.

No. Gayer.

There you go.

Of course, some activities only two can do at a time.

Like be in #love.

Or just #buddies.

Pick flowers.

Or take a leak together…. ?

Or of course, this.

Friends who serve #face together stay together.

We found gay Atlantans standing in trios and #fourways too.

And semi-famous gay-lebrities like model Seth Fornea and friends.

And singing gay football stud Alan Gendreau and his bestie.

You already imagined beats and boys like this video.

And more than one epic #wigsnatch like this one.

But there were also quiet solos. See ya next year.
