Atlanta Rollergirls sash rink newbies [photos]

Who loves an Atlanta Rollergirl? The lesbians do! The lesbians do! (And even some gay men.) The ladies who skate, readying for their season opener later this month, sashed their new players last week in a raucous event.

imageKnowing their fanbase, the lady jocks turned out the crowds for their Debutante Brawl at Bellissima on Feb. 10 and inducted their rookies. The Atlanta Rollergirls open their seventh season on Feb. 26.

The rollergirl antics continue on March 19, April 16, May 21, June 18, July 16, Aug. 13 and Sept. 10. Each home date includes two bouts and takes place at the Yaarab Shrine Center on Ponce de Leon Avenue.
