Atlanta Pride takes to the park for perfect sunny weekend

The saying goes that the people make Pride, and in Atlanta, Piedmont Park makes it pop. Near-perfect weather set the stage for LGBTQ Atlanta smiles all weekend long.

Just a week after unseasonably warm weather had folks worried they might melt, the clouds parted and the sun shone down on the 48th annual Atlanta Pride Festival in 72-degree perfection. With mother nature's full blessing, tents went up, sunglasses went on, and shirts came off Oct. 13 and 14 for two days of queer vendors, stage acts and people watching.
