Some 17 artists – ranging from Kimberley Locke to Josh Zuckerman, from hip-hop to R&B, country and drag – will perform during the Atlanta Pride Festival next month.
Organizers of the annual event, set for Oct. 9-10 in Piedmont Park, on Wednesday released the remaining slots for the festival’s entertainment lineup. Last month, Pride announced “American Idol” finalist Locke’s Oct. 9 performance and a slate of nightlife events that opens with an Oct. 8 kickoff party at the Georgia Aquarium.
The 17 artists were culled from more than 150 artists around the country who applied for a slot to perform at the Southeast’s largest Pride celebration, organizers say. The festival will again close with the traditional Starlight Cabaret on Oct. 10.
