Organizers narrowed the choices to three — “Stonewall to Atlanta: Our Story Continues,” “Become the Impact” and “Pride Begins with You” — and is hosting a poll on its web site. Voting opened Dec. 10 and continues through Jan. 1. Two days later, Pride says it will announce the winner.

As of Wednesday afternoon, “Stonewall to Atlanta” was a slight favorite, receiving 42 percent of the votes to 34 percent for “Pride Begins with You.” Some 24 percent of the votes cast went to “Become the Impact.”

The 2009 festival is set for June 26-28 at a hybird location that includes the Atlanta Civic Center and Central Park.

Also in January, the Atlanta Pride Committee will benefit from the Jan. 22 opening night of “Shut Up, Sweet Charlotte.” The production, which includes drag personality Varla Jean Merman, takes place at the 14th Street Playhouse. Merman stopped in Atlanta last week to tease the new production.
