Atlanta Leather Pride crowns its daddy, mama

Another spring weekend, another local gay tradition. Atlanta Leather Pride’s collision with the Atlanta Eagle anniversary made for another yet seasonal ritual with a new crop of proud BDSM titleholders.

Even before the event, we told you it was going to be epic. Organizers delivered on that promise Saturday during the weekend’s keystone event, the Mr. & Ms. Atlanta Eagle contests. New this year, the Mr. Southeast Rubber competition joined the fray as well, and it all went down before the Sweat Victory Party.

Robbie Butler (top photo, left) won Mr. Atlanta Eagle 2015, and Ms. Atlanta Eagle is Khaz Brooks (right). Mr. Southeast Rubber 2015 went to Jay Jackson (bottom). They are pictured with Eagle owner Richard Ramey (center). First runner up for Mr. went to Rufio Bell, and Michael Leroy was named first runner up for Mr. Southeast Rubber.

Butler takes over the sash from last year’s winner J.P. Paquette, who replaced Tank Teachworth, who took over from Jeff Donaldson, who won after Wayne Turpin, who took the title from Chandler Bearden, who was crowned in 2010. Alan Penrod won a revitalized Mr. Atlanta Eagle contest in 2009 and is ALP’s co-producer with Pup Nitro. Brooks picks up the Ms. Reigns after Lizzy in 2013 and Jackie Hubschman in 2012.
