Athens man tries to gay grope dude’s Poke Balls

Pokemon Go may be the new Grindr for the gays. But that doesn't mean you can grope another guy's Poke Balls without asking first – as this gay Georgia man learned on Tuesday.

A 24-year-old man was playing Pokemon Go abiout 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the rear parking lot of Dragon Star Hobbies, according to CBS 46. And like you might expect, at least one other person was there enjoying the new craze, too. The two men interacted and, well, the second guy took things a little too far, according to Online Athens.

The man said the suspect touched the inside of his thigh and asked questions such as whether he liked men, according to police.

The 24-year-old told police that he didn't try to squash the man's advance, leave or call for help. He feared that the other Pokemon player might be packing a gun because he left one hand in his pocket. (Pretty sure that bulge in his pants was loaded but it wasn't a gun.)

Apparently he's never fended off an unwanted advance before. So when the gay groper finally left, the man went home, showered – and told his wife. Then he called police, according to Online Athens.

He described the suspect as a white male in his mid-20s to early 30s who had a scruffy beard and wore an orange shirt and blue jeans, police said.

Athens-Clarke County police are investigating the incident as a sexual assault.

The frisky Pokemon fan is fortunate. He could have groped this Uber driver and things would have gone bad fast.
