Armed, not fabulous drag queen robber hits bank

imageHe ran like a man, but robbed like a woman. A drag queen bank bandit struck in the unlikeliest of places on Monday – a BB&T Bank in Marietta. The economy’s tough, girl, but sticking up a bank OTP dressed in a shoulder-length black wig, skirt and short boots? We’ve seen this before. But in Cobb County, that may get you some additional jail time. And jail time won’t treat this drag queen suspect well. Police describe the robber a skinny white guy between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. The best part? Cops in Marietta said -- with a straight face -- that the robber's build, features and manly movements gave her away as a him. No, it wasn't the wig. Not at all. "He ran like a man when he left the bank," Marietta police Officer David Baldwin tells the AJC.
