An end near in Eddie Long sexcapades lawsuits?

imageLeave it to Megadaddy Bishop Eddie Long, who is fond of over-reaching in his public sermonizing, to link a possible end to the gay sexcapades lawsuits filed against him and the Easter holiday.

Then again, it is Long – the same Atlanta manwhore who wears muscle shirts to church (and sends cellphone pics of them, too) as he leads New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, brags about taking a voluntary 40-percent pay cut, talks of dirty men and their sperm, shacks up with other men on overseas trips and demands that young men call him Daddy.

Long surfaced again on Good Friday to preach just as news surfaces that an end may be in sight to the lawsuits four men filed against him alleging sexual misconduct and otherwise uber gay behavior. WSB first reported the apparent break in ongoing mediation sessions between Long and his accusers on Thursday. By Friday morning, Long was very publicly heading to church.

“There’s always somebody going to be yakking at you … you don’t have to answer to anybody but God,” Long said.

The resurrection “was not for perfect folk … but for the least, those who thought they failed,” Long said.

Concluding, Long said, “This ain’t going to be no bad Friday for me, it’s going to be a Good Friday.”

Attorneys on both sides wouldn’t comment to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. WSB reported that marathon mediation sessions faced one last obstacle but that their was hope that a resolution would be reached before Easter.
