Recent reports of a Zodiac constellations shift notwithstanding, DJ Vicki Powell, a horde of Aquarians and their admirers held a birthday party on Saturday as the stars moved into Aquarius.
If you were at the Aquarian party last year, you know how much fun it was. If not, Saturday’s event was your chance to celebrate with a rowdy crowd of women, some men and a whole lot of birthday babies. With the right birthday, guests were treated to extras, but no one was left wanting for a good time.
The whole lot let loose as Powell (top photo, left) laid down the beats for the annual Aquarian Party on Jan. 29 at Amsterdam.
The Aquarian Party was just the latest Powell-powered event. Last week, she helmed the furry-lipped Ladystache, where the women sported mustaches of all shapes and sizes. She is also responsible for driving the groove at Party Like A Rock Star on New Year’s Eve. Click for photos from each of those events.
In addition to her regular guest appearances at gay bars and parties, Powell’s next signature party is the Boombox party on March 26. Boombox is the new iteration of Powell’s long-running and widly popular FLUX parties. New name, same “Get into it!” mantra.
