All Stripes brings the rainbow for Atlanta United Pride match

Go big or go home. That was the approach for All Stripes as the LGBTQ supporters group of Atlanta United celebrated Pride – and the pro team’s Pride match – on Sunday with an over the top tailgate.

It was the largest event so far of the season for All Stripes. DJ Kimber, drag performers Shi and Jaybella CoCo Bankx, brunch from Las Margaritas and rainbow margaritas no doubt helped draw a crowd. That it was Stonewall Weekend and the Pride match for Atlanta United didn’t hurt.

The Pride match was also celebrated with a pre-match tifo – a large banner hoisted by the supporters’ section inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium – emblazoned with “Loud! And Proud!” The massive banner was designed by Buzz Busbee, the gay owner and creative director of A Better Buzz, and produced by Footie Mob, an Atlanta United supporters group.

Atlanta United ended the match in a scoreless tie with the New York Red Bulls.
