After two days and 200 miles across North Georgia, dozens of AIDS Vaccine 200 riders pedaled their bikes across a finish line at Emory University to seal the deal on hundreds of thousands in donations.
The annual event’s wrap party was a rainy affair, but the celebratory atmosphere shone through on the accomplished faces. Though donation totals are still being tallied, they knew that there are already $230,000 in the hopper with a goal to raise a quarter-million dollars before the June 30 deadline. 100 percent of rider and volunteer funds go to Emory Vaccine Center, Jerusalem House and Positive Impact.
