imageThe LGBT professionals of the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce took their monthly mixer downtown for June, and one of the topics on every tongue was the group’s 2011 Community Awards.

The Inn at the Peachtrees, downtown’s newest boutique hotel, was a perfect place for Fourth Friday Networking on June 24. AGLCC members and guests enjoyed a buffet of delectable edibles, each other’s company, and of course, the social lubricants from the bar.

imageWith regular business builder luncheons, monthly networking, special events and of course their careers, the AGLCC folks are always busy. But the big AGLCC news is that nominations are now open in five categories to determine the best of the best Business Woman of the Year, Business Man of the Year, AGLCC Member of the Year, Corporate Ally and Guardian Angel.

The winners will be announced during the annual Community Awards Dinner on Aug. 26 at the W Atlanta Midtown. Last year, Project Q Atlanta’s own Matt Hennie took the Business Man trophy home.

Even as the group takes nominations, the regular AGLCC events just keep coming. Look for soon-to-be-announced plans for the July Networking Mixer, an OTP Mixer on July 14 with AEN and the AGLCC Business Builder Luncheons each month in Buckhead, Vinings, Brookhaven, East Point and Northlake.
