The latest event for those networking fiends at the LGBT professionals group Atlanta Executive Network took a pit stop last week on their fast-track regular schedule of lunches and networking to celebrate summer.
Of course, it wouldn’t be AEN if making contacts and building business wasn’t in the mix, so the party tipped its hat to the joys of summer but did so with plenty of hand shaking, back patting and connection-making.
The event took place at Tantra, where the hardworking business people let their hair down to mix with old friends and made some new ones with the social lubrication of cocktail specials and an array of Tantra’s light bites.
As with most AEN events, the summer party was free for members but welcomed all comers with an admission worth the price of some business contacts. AEN holds regular mixers and some business luncheons all around town and holds its speaker-driven networking meetings on the third Thursday of each month.
Its next Business Builder Luncheon in partnership with the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is on June 21 at Hudson Grille Brookhaven, and the next OTP Mix & Mingle is at Double Zero Nepoletana on July 14. The next Third Thursday Networking meeting, set for July 21 at Hudson Grille Midtown, features special guest speaker Peter Pasternack of A&E’s “Flip this House” with the lowdown for real estate enthusiasts and TV fans alike.
