Accused killer feigns love for victim on Facebook

The accused killer of a gay East Point police officer, her ex-girlfriend, used social media to later express sadness for her death and, police say, text supervisors of the woman she just killed that she had to skip work to tend to her sick father.

Police arrested Danielle Parker (photo) on July 9 and charged her with the murder of  Crystal Parker, accusing her of shooting the decorated police officer in the head. The women recently ended their nearly five-year relationship and Danielle Parker moved out of Parker's south Fulton home. Parker's body was discovered on July 7 and police say she was killed sometime over the long holiday weekend.

Police now say someone sent Crystal Parker's employers a text from her phone around the time that she was killed, telling them she had to care for her ailing father and couldn't report to work. But Joe Parker told WSB in the video above that he hasn't been sick and that he warned his daughter to stay away from Danielle Parker.

Fulton County police also released additional details about what led them to charge Parker in the killing.

Detectives said they found the officer's cellphone, wallet and debit card at Danielle Parker's home days after the murder. They said they also found a gaming system that had been stolen from the officer's home weeks before.

Detectives said Parker told them she didn't leave home the day detectives believe the officer died. But officers said Parker's cellphone connected to a cell tower near the officer's home the day she was killed.

A friend of Parker told WSB that Danielle Parker posted on Facebook using the name Blaque Widow how much she loved the woman she's accused of killing. She posted that on July 8, a day after Parker's body was discovered.

No words can express the pain and hurt I feel right now. ..Last night I lost the Love of my life for the last 6yrs Crystal A Parker. will always love you and miss you, you will forever in my HEART.# Love You 4 ever

An eery social media post after allegedly attacking the ex-girlfriend? Sadly, we've seen it before.

Police also said someone used Parker's Facebook account around the time she was killed to send a vulgar message to Crystal Parker's current girlfriend.

Danielle Parker waved a first appearance hearing on July 10. Parker's funeral was held Saturday. Friends of Crystal Parker have described the deceased cop as a “servant to the LGBT community.”
