Oh pomp and circumstance, how we adore thee. Oh nationalism and competition, you’re awesome. But pageants of gay men showing off to see who wins, we love you most of all. Hello, Mr. Gay World.
The annual competition to represent gay male beauty, safe sex and self acceptance all over the globe heats up next week and comes to a boil May 2. After a week of meet-and-greets, parties and photo opps in beautiful South Africa, 21 gay guys will hit the stage in Cape Town to show each other, and the world, if they have what it takes to become Mr. Gay World.
The United States doesn’t have a horse in the race this year, so meet contestants below and decide which country you’ll be rooting for. Click on their names to find out more.
