imageFour teen wrestlers from Georgia, including one from metro Atlanta, held down a younger teen while one tried to sexually assault him with a toothbrush on Friday during a camp on a college campus in Rome. New details continue to emerge about the same-sex attack since it was first reported over the weekend by the Rome News-Tribune. The accused teens, all 17-year-old prominent high school wrestlers, are being held without bond in the Floyd County Jail, each facing charges of aggravated sexual battery, a felony, and simple assault, a misdemeanor. image The teens -- Jamel Marshawn Sharp (top photo), Robert Darshawn Sharp (second photo), Dallas Kendrick Brown (third photo) and Kenny Mason (fourth photo) – appeared in court on Monday when a judge referred the case to a Superior Court. It could be months before a bond hearing is set. The alleged sexual assault unfolded shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday. It may have started as horse play before Mason held the victim down and others started hitting him. Then, according to police, the other teens joined in. The four wrestlers were arrested Saturday afternoon. image "Another group came in and two boys held his feet and pulled down his pants" while someone tried to assault him with a toothbrush, according to the police report. "There is a line that can be crossed. Unfortunately in this case it was crossed." Rome Police Detective Jeff Richerson tells WCTV. He described the incident as “horse play or hazing with fellow teammates” that quickly got out of control. image Robert and Jamel Sharp are brothers and students at Valdosta High School; Mason is a Lowndes High School student. Brown is from Lawrenceville and wrestles for Mountain View High School. Jamel Sharp won the 112-pound Class AAAAA state championship in May, while his brother, Robert, placed third in the 103-pound class. Mason and the Sharps are on the SGAC Devil Dogs, a non-profit USA Wrestling affiliated club in Valdosta. The incident took place on the campus of Shorter College in Rome, where Team Georgia – the state affiliate of USA Wrestling – was conducting a four-day event.
