05-17: SÓL Sundays at W Midtown

Add this share

imageFirst it was Tuesdays. Then Thursdays. And now Sundays.

The guys behind the fun Social Tuesdays and Hydrate Thursdays now want to put their stamp on Sundays this summer. This weekly event, though, might get a little wet.

SÓL Sundays launches May 17 at the upscale rooftop pool of the W Midtown and will splish splash its way through Sunday afternoons until Labor Day Weekend. The afternoons, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., will include a DJ, libations, gourmet eats, towel service and VIP cabanas.

Also on tap from these creative promoters is a tanning valet. What’s that, you ask? From the group’s announcement about the new event:

Be the first to experience our steamy male tanning valet. Provisioned with the most exotic of oils and lotions, our tanning valet will be available to assist you with those hard to reach places. Worrying about keeping track of time? At SÓL Sundays there are no worries…..our tanning valet will notify you when to turn so that your tan is even on all sides.

But a summer pool party at the W would be nothing without a little exclusivity, so organizers Chris Coleman and Kurt Edwins put a cap of 150 people for SÓL Sundays. To get on the list, you’ll need an access card that can be had for $15. Or if you’re interested in a cabana for your Sunday, those can be reserved for $250.
