The famous, infamous and locally legendary knew that Blake’s was gay Halloween headquarters. With thousands in cash and prizes up for grabs, so did some of Atlanta’s best costumes.
By the time the moon rose over Friday night, it was already game on for a menagerie of costumers, from scary to sexy to sacrilegious and beyond. “The Voice” singer Jean Kelley performed, then served double duty as a costume judge on a panel that also included Shawnna Brooks. Nicole Paige Brooks played host.
It was already a big weekend for the bar. Thursday started the celebration, and Lady Bunny hit Blake’s on Saturday for another round of costume drama and Halloween hilarity.
