The Ready 4 Hope fundraising season that kicked off with Bear-B-Q hunks in April hit its peak on Saturday with a slate of events that opened with a beer bust at Heretic.
DJ Mike Pope provided the music for the day-long party with a purpose, which raises money for the AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run. From Heretic, the party shifted to Jungle for the Red Party and then to Xion for the After Party.
In 2016, the Bear-B-Q and Red Party Weekend helped raise nearly $44,000 for the AIDS Walk – one of the largest team totals at the event. The beer bust on Saturday raised nearly $4,000, according to Ready 4 Hope organizer Mike Woodside.
