Atlanta Pride kicked off in style on Friday as the Georgia Aquarium became the background for thousands of revelers ready to start their out, proud and out loud weekend.
Just as the VIP party was winding down, the action ramped up at the main event. DJs Corey Craig took the Atrium to new heights, and DJ Jay McCracken held court in the Oceans Ballroom.
When not dancing, ordering another round at multiple bars, people watching, or meeting celebrity drag queens like Jujubee and Lady Bunny, the gays stood agape at the aquarium viewing tanks (top photo). Any way you sliced it, the Official Pride Kickoff Party was an eyeful at every turn.
A whopping 4,000 tickets sold out the venue, packing the event with every flavor of L, G, B and T. Needless to say, Pride spirits were lifted to fever pitch as everyone psyched up for the Piedmont Park festival that began the next day.
