LGBTQ chamber fetes favorite business leaders at gala dinner

The Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce held a splashy downtown gala dinner on Friday to honor LGBTQ business leaders and corporate allies.

The sold-out black-tie dinner and silent auction moved to the Marriott Marquis this year after partying it up at the Westin Buckhead Atlanta last year. WSB-TV’s Nefertiti Jáquez emceed the annual event.

Richard Ramey, owner of Atlanta Eagle and Flower Cottage on Main, won the Rosemary Jones Icon Award. Todd Sears, founder and principal of Out Leadership, won the Vanguard Award.

Grey River Hardy of Cox Enterprises gave a moving speech to take home the AGLCC’s first-ever Business Person of the Year Award. That award was created to honor those in the AGLCC who don't identify specifically as male or female. It was voted on by the organization's executive committee and will be part of the public nomination process starting in 2019.
