LGBTQ business leaders rise up for Atlanta’s Rainbow Economy

LGBTQ business leaders in Atlanta celebrated a day of panel discussions and exploring the rainbow economy with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce hosted its Fourth Friday Networking Night.

The networking reception closed out AGLCC's Rise of the Rainbow Economy at the Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown. The LGBTQ business summit included a sneak peek at the city's preparations to host the 2019 Super Bowl, a look at how LGBTQ-owned businesses can become suppliers to some of the city's largest corporations, and offered tips on building a thriving business.

Rise of the Rainbow Economy, in its second year, also offered a discussion with Democratic candidates running for statewide officers in November. The candidates included Charlie Bailey (Attorney General), John Barrow (Secretary of State), Fred Swann (Agriculture Secretary), Janice Lewis (Insurance Commissioner), and Richard Keatley (Labor Commissioner). Stacey Abrams, the Democratic nominee for governor, addressed the crowd in a separate speech.
