“In the Life,” a public television series about gay issues, launches its 17th season next month.
“Civil Rites & Civil Rights” includes an in-depth look at marriage equality in California and the fight over Proposition 8 and a conversation between Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jonathan Capehart and NAACP Chairman Julian Bond about the intersections of gay rights, civil rights and marriage equality.
The show airs locally on WPBA and WGTV, though a date for the new episode hasn’t been set. You can check here. The show will be available for video streaming and as a downloadable podcast Oct. 2.
