It’s a holiday weekend. At night. You’re out of town. What’s a gay jock in Hotlanta Softball’s Big Peach tournament to do? Dress up in drag or strip to his briefs for a raucous registration party.
Don’t misunderstand. There’s plenty of softball being played among the nearly 50 teams that took part in the Big Peach in Atlanta over Memorial Day Weekend. But when it comes to the nightlife, this tournament brings its A-Game. (And some schwag bags.)
Tournament organizers dished out $1,000 in cash and prizes to contestants brave or drunk enough to try their hand at drag and strip down to their briefs to dance for an appreciative crowd. In other words, it was a big hot mess of fun on Friday at Burkhart’s.
Better than last year’s registration party? See for yourself. Not sure? There’s always the talent show and underwear contest from 2010.
