The clouds clear and cool things down for a weekend of activities so plentiful, you’ll need a doppelganger to make it to all these Gay Agenda items. Choose wisely, gays, and have fun!

Friday, April 7

Atlanta Leather Pride & Eagle 30th Anniversary (top photo). It takes something special to last 30 years, and this place has it. Celebrate with the Mr. & Ms. Atlanta Eagle and Mr. SE Rubber contests, and Leather Pride parties all weekend @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m. DJ Ron Pullman helms the Kickoff Party. Also look for Leather Pride Afterhours @ Tokyo Valentino, open 24 hours.

“The Legend of Georgia McBride” follows a desperate Elvis impersonator who turns to drag to make ends meet @ Actor’s Express, 8 p.m. Runs through April 16

The Other Show. Come to the unique weekly drag cabaret with an eclectic cast and special guests that always pack a surprise @ Jungle, 9 p.m., preceded by a RuPaul’s Drag Race watch party, 8 p.m.

Boys Room. Hang with the cool kids in East Atlanta @ Mary’s, 9 p.m. And for the next several weeks, it’s preceded by the RuPaul’s Drag Race Happy Hour, 6 p.m.

Pump. The weekly man-on-man dance party launches your weekend @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Fresh Face Friday puts the newest drag glamazons on display. Then get your singles ready for premiere queens in Femme Fatale @ Burkhart’s, 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Celestial Friday. Celeste Holmes hosts the show “where the stars come out” and puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars, plus Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Ladies Lounge. Get your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the new Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m. 

Resident DJs Scott and Mikey take you deep into the night with $5 Fridays @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

Leather Pride Afterhours really gets cracking when the Eagle closes @ Tokyo Valentino, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

 

Saturday, April 8

Eggs & Kegs Beer Bust. HSL’s sexy Wet Demons squad (middle photo) hosts all the other gay softball jocks for this seasonal soiree of DJs, Drinks, Dudes and Drawings @ Joe’s, 2 p.m.

Dogwood Festival. The crown jewel of festival season wears its flowering trees for its resident gays and everybody else @ Piedmont Park, all day.

‘Icon’ Auditions. Open tryouts for performers in For All Humans’ ongoing party series that celebrates divas. All kinds of acts welcome @ Jungle, 12 noon – 4 p.m.

Flag Football. The gay jocks of National Flag Football League of Atlanta get rough and tumble @ Boulevard Crossing Park, 9:30 a.m. Hang with the guys afterward @ Blake’s 2 p.m.

Protest Rally Against Hate. A citywide coming together to express intersectional unity against the current administration @ Centennial Olympic Park, 1 p.m.

#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of tonight’s party @ Mary’s, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during the regularly scheduled shenanigans, 10 p.m.

Ann Lamott. Come see why she’s considered one of the greatest living American writers with her latest book and the women of lesbian-owned Charis @ Central Presbyterian Church, 7 p.m.

Fred Hersch. The great, gay, Grammy-nominated jazz pianist performs @ Spivey Hall, 7:30 p.m. Read our interview about his inspiring story.

Duran Duran. The ‘80s sex symbols hit town with new songs and old hits for the gay teen inside Generation Xers @ Chastain Park Amphitheatre, 8 p.m. They love their gays.

Hotlanta Softball. The gay pitchers and catchers continue their season of play on the field and off @ Johnson Park, all day. Join them for bottomless brews during the Extra Inning Beer Bust @ No Mas Cantina, 4 p.m.
