The big holigay weekend wraps summer with festivals for every L, G, B and T. Black Gay Pride, Dragon*Con, Decatur Book Festival and parties every night go all the way to Tuesday sunrise.

Friday, Sept. 1

Black Gay Pride. The annual long-weekend confab of parties, panels and people celebrates the confluence of black and LGBT lives @ Venues all over town. Dragon*Con. The 31st annual gathering of geeky goodness takes place with cosplay, LGBT inclusion and sci-fi celebrities galore @ Downtown Hyatt and Surrounding Area, all weekend.

Decatur Book Festival. Bookworms of all stripes hit this thriving burgh with literary luminaries in tow @ Downtown Decatur, all weekend.

The Other Show. Come to the unique weekly drag cabaret with an eclectic cast and special guests that always pack a surprise @ Jungle, 9 p.m.

Boys Room. Hang with the cool kids in East Atlanta @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

NSA: Brains & Booty. Take that theme and run with it at the latest sex-positive party from Wussy @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

DJ Ron Pullman gets the weekend going @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Fresh Face Friday puts the newest drag glamazons on display. Then get your singles ready for premiere queens in Femme Fatale @ Burkhart’s, 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Celestial Friday. Celeste Holmes hosts the show “where the stars come out” and puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars, plus Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Ladies Lounge. Get your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the new Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m. 

 

Saturday, Sept. 2

DJ Daniel Weaver kicks Saturday into high gear @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Sizzling Startlets and Fever. The opening show is followed by the quintessential drag cast working for your dollars @ Burkhart's, 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. 

Glitz & Glam with Charlie Brown. The self-titled Bitch of the South and her girls entertain with dinner and a show in the theater experience of Atlanta’s drag restaurant and bar. Make reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m. 

GlitterBomb werqs Saturday night with a drag show hosted by Edie Cheezburger, a cast of premiere queens and special guests @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

Afterhours really gets cranking when the party moves to Cheshire Bridge Road with DJs Cosmo and Tracy Levine @ Tokyo Valentino, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

 

Sunday, Sept. 3

Cindel Sunday (third photo). The international gay DJ sensation Cindel hits town for a holiday weekend extension @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Midtown Rouge. First it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast including Raquell Lorde @ Blake's, 8:30 p.m.

Sunday Tea. The weekly tradition of dudes, DJs and drinks continues @ Ten. Low-Tea vocal tracks, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. High Tea today’s hits, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Armorettes. Atlanta’s camp drag crazies against HIV do their weekly good in the gayborhood @ Burkhart’s, 7:30 p.m.

Tossed Salad. The magic and madness masterminded by Brigitte Bidet and her left-of-center queens goes in hard @ Burkhart’s, 10:30 p.m.
