LGBT employees of six banks gathered for fun and fundraising on Wednesday, toasting their colleagues as well as two local non-profits at Blake’s.
Funds raised at Banker Pride – through donations and a silent auction – benefited Pride School Atlanta and Voices of Note, which operates the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus and Atlanta Women’s Chorus.
Participating banks included Bank of America, BB&T, Regions Bank, SunTrust, Fifth Third Bank and Wells Fargo. SunTrust is among 16 Atlanta-based companies that notched a perfect score on HRC's Corporate Equality Index for its treatment of LGBT employees and customers.
The event also included a performance by members of the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus.
